''Saving Zoë'' is a 2007 fiction book written by Alyson Noël. The book's plot follows a fifteen-year-old girl named Echo who is coping with the murder of her older sister, Zoe. Everything changes when Zoe's boyfriend shows Zoe's diary to Echo. The book was adapted into a film in 2019. Alyson Noël is an American author from Orange County, California. Biography Alyson Noël was born on December 3, 1966, raised in Orange County and attended Richard Nixon Elementary School for two years. She is the youngest of three girls born to her divorced parents. She lived in Mykonos, Greece after leaving her high school, Troy High School. Afterward, she moved to Manhattan, New York where she worked as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines. She now lives in Laguna Beach, California. She has had a variety of jobs such as babysitter, department store sales clerk, administrative assistant, office manager, jewelry maker, T-shirt painter, and front desk hotel clerk, in addition to flight attendant and considers herself an author. ''Saving Zoë'' is a 2019 American crime drama film directed by Jeffrey Hunt from a screenplay by LeeAnne H. Adams and Brian J. Adams, based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Alyson Noël. It stars Laura and Vanessa Marano in the lead roles alongside Chris Tavarez, Giorgia Whigham, Michael Provost, Nathaniel Buzolic, and Ken Jeong, and was released on July 12, 2019. Plot Echo, a freshman in high school, is attempting to come to terms with the loss of her older sister, Zoë, who was murdered a year ago.
