Savin was incorporated in 1959 by Max M. and Robert K. Low, and the company was named after Max Low's son-in-law, Robert S. A Victim Notification System (VNS), Crime Victim Notification (CVN), or Statewide Automated Victim Notification Service (SAVNS), is a computer-controlled system by which victims of federal crimes are informed about the release of or the escape of the offender(s) who perpetrated that crime. In the United States, the VNS is operated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Attorney's Offices, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It is an electronic system accessible by telephone or via the internet, and information is also sent by mail. The VNS provides information on scheduled court events and their outcomes, as well as changes in the offenders custody status. Access to VNS information requires a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a personal identification number (PIN). Savin Hill
Savin Hill is a section of Dorchester, the largest neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Named after the geographic feature it covers and surrounds, Savin Hill is about one square mile in area, and has a population of about 15,000 people. Savin Hill Beach and Malibu Beach are nearby and are a resource for surrounding communities. Rail and bus routes give access to and from Savin Hill, especially the Savin Hill station. ''Savin Hill'' is the first album by punk band Street Dogs. This is the first new material featuring lead singer Mike McColgan since he quit Dropkick Murphys in 1998. The album is named after Savin Hill, a small area within the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The album includes two covers, of Kris Kristofferson's "The Pilgrim: Chapter 33" and Sham 69's "Borstal Breakout". Dicky Barrett from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones provides guest vocals on the track "Justifiable Fisticuffs" and former Murphys bandmate Ken Casey and Mike's Murphys replacement Al Barr provide guest vocals on the track "Stand Up." Casey was due to produce the album but his busy schedule with the "Dropkick Murphys" didn't allow him to. A video for the single "Savin Hill" was also released. Savin Rock
Savin Rock is a section of West Haven, Connecticut, named after the rocky outcropping at the shorefront in Bradley Point Park. It was the site of the Savin Rock Amusement Park, which began in the late 19th century as a regionally renowned seaside resort. It evolved into a general amusement park in the 20th century and eventually closed in 1966. The park ran along the west side of New Haven Harbor beachfront and is today a walk and bike path. The path is part of the East Coast Greenway The East Coast Greenway is a pedestrian and bicycle route between Maine and Florida along the East Coast of the United States.
