"Saved My Life" is a song performed by Sia. The song was released on 2 May 2020, after she performed it during the online ''COVID Is No Joke'' live comedy fest hosted by AmeriCares during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was released on 12 February 2021 by Monkey Puzzle and Atlantic, in connection with the release of the musical film ''Music'', which was directed and co-written by Sia. Sia wrote 10 original songs for the film's soundtrack following its transformation into a musical, half of which are included on the album. Sia Kate Isobelle Furler ( ; born 18 December 1975) is an Australian singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Adelaide, she started her career as a singer in the acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s. Chris Gehringer (born May 27, 1962) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered recordings such as Gwen Stefani's '' Love. Angel. Music. Baby.'' (2004), Rihanna's '' Loud'' (2010), Lady Gaga's '' Born This Way'' (2011) and Drake's '' Take Care'' (2011). Biography Gehringer was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and raised in Bergen County. After graduating from Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, New Jersey, he attended the Institute of Audio Research. His first job in the industry was at Greene Street Recording and from there, he went on to work as a cutting assistant at Trutone Records. In 1985, Gehringer joined Tom Coyne and Herbie Powers at Frankford-Wayne Mastering and mastered primarily Dance music, dance and Contemporary R&B, R&B records throughout the 1980s.
