The C-Port Trojans are a member of the East Coast Basketball League (ECBL). The Trojans previously competed in the American Basketball Association during 2010–11 season. East Coast Basketball League
East Coast Basketball League (ECBL) is a men's professional basketball minor league in the United States that began play in March 2015. The league is centered in the Carolinas with teams also in Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts. History Five teams (Carolina Gladiators, Fayetteville Crossover, PrimeTime Players, Queen City Express, South Carolina All-Stars) in the ECBL previously played in the Tobacco Road Basketball League. Savannah High School (Georgia)
Savannah High School is a public high school located in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Campus Savannah High is now located at 400 Pennsylvania Avenue. History Savannah High School was originally located on Washington Avenue between East and West Atlantic Avenues. The original building, built by the WPA and designed by William Bordley Clarke, Sr., was once the largest public school building in the United States. The foundation of the original building had been built as a luxury hotel, but the owners went bankrupt in the Great Depression and the City of Savannah took over the unfinished building. The three-story brick and mortar structure included two interior courtyards, one of which held a rifle range for the ROTC as well as several circular interior fire escape slides, which have since been sealed off. American Basketball Association (2000–present)
The American Basketball Association (ABA) is an American semi-professional men's basketball minor league that was founded in 1999. The ABA has teams based in the United States and previously had international teams based in Canada and Mexico. In the past, there were traveling teams from countries such as Australia and Japan who played in the ABA. Additionally, there were players from other countries that were on a U.S. team to showcase other talented athletes in the country. The current ABA bears no relation to the original American Basketball Association (1967–1976) that was considered a major league, and merged with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1976. 2010–11 ABA Season
The 2010-2011 ABA season was the tenth season of the American Basketball Association that lasted from November 5, 2010, the finish of the regular season in late February, and the championship series at the end of March 2011. The Southeast Texas Mavericks ended up defending their league championship from 2009, winning their second straight championship by defeating the Gulf Coast Flash 2–0. Over sixty teams plan were originally scheduled to compete during the 2010–11 season. However, much of that list included teams that had no plans to start the season and teams which disappeared before the season began. The league also planned to host over 800 games among the teams combined during the season.
