Savana Violenta
''Savana violenta'' ( en, Violent Savanna), also known as ''This Violent World'' and ''Mondo Violence'', is a 1976 mondo film directed by Antonio Climati and Mario Morra. The film documents various scenes of graphic behavior in an attempted exposé of worldly violence. It is narrated by Giuseppe Rinaldi. It is the second collaborative feature between Antonio Climati and Mario Morra in their series of mondo films called the Savage Trilogy, following ''Ultime grida dalla savana''. Antonio Climati
Antonio Climati (November 14, 1931 – August 9, 2015) was an Italian cinematographer, filmmaker and film editor. He was best known for photographing and directing many mondo films during the 1970s and 1980s, as well as for having worked as a director of photography for many Italian horror films. Biography Antonio, son of camera operator Arturo Climati, gained his first experience with the camera alongside his father and as an assistant to news and documentary filmmaker Paolo Gregorich. Then, he was part of the staff of Gualtiero Jacopetti and collaborated with him in the production of some of his movies as a cameraman. During the 1970s, he started to shot his own films in the style of Jacopetti, with occasional side trips to the pure feature film, such as ''Natura contro'', his most recent film to date, in collaboration with Mario Morra. Mario Morra (born 1935) is an Italian film editor, director and screenwriter. Born in Rome, Morra began working as an assistant editor in the early 1960s, and made his debut as film editor in 1964.Roberto Poppi. ''Dizionario del cinema italiano. I registi''. Gramese, 2002. He gradually established himself up as one of the most representative of his profession, very active in art films as well as in less ambitious works. Titanus
Titanus is an Italian film production company, founded in 1904 by Gustavo Lombardo (1885–1951). The company's headquarters are located at 28 Via Sommacampagna, Rome and its studios on the Via Tiburtina, 13 km from the centre of Rome. Lombardo ran the studios until his death in 1951. His son, Goffredo Lombardo (1920–2005) and later his grandson, Guido Lombardo have continued to run the company. The company has been responsible for hundreds of Italian productions. Titanus made many peplum films and comedies featuring Totò and Franco and Ciccio. ''Ultime grida dalla savana'' (), also known as by its English title ''Savage Man Savage Beast'', is a 1975 mondo documentary film co-produced, co-written, co-edited and co-directed by Antonio Climati and Mario Morra. Filmed all around the world, its central theme focuses on hunting and the interaction between man and animal. Like many mondo films, the filmmakers claim to document real, bizarre and violent behavior and customs, although some scenes were actually staged. It is narrated by the Italian actor and popular dubber Giuseppe Rinaldi and the text was written by Italian novelist Alberto Moravia.
