Saurimo FC, formerly Bikuku FC is an Angolan sports club from the city of Saurimo. The club was named after the original owner, Angolan businessman Ernesto dos Santos Lino, aka Santos ''Bikuku''. In 2018, the team qualified to the Gira Angola, the qualifying tournament for Angola's top division, the Girabola. Prior to its participation in the Girabola, the club changed its name to Saurimo FC. Estádio das Mangueiras is a football stadium located at the Dr. Agostinho Neto neighborhood in the city of Saurimo, Lunda Sul province, Angola. The state-owned stadium is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, on club level by Progresso da Lunda Sul of the Girabola. The stadium has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. Estrela Clube Primeiro De Maio
Estrela Clube Primeiro de Maio, usually known simply as Primeiro de Maio or 1º de Maio, is a football (soccer) club from Benguela, Angola. The club was the result of a merger from two clubs: Estrela Vermelha de Benguela and Grupo Desportivo 1º de Maio being then named África Têxtil 1º de Maio de Benguela due to its then major sponsor, a Benguela-based textile factory called África Têxtil. Shortly afterwards, the name was changed to its present denomination. In its golden years, in the 1980s, the club has won two Angolan leagues (1983 and 1985), three Angolan cups (1982, 1983 and 2007) and one Angolan supercup (1985). Moreover, Primeiro de Maio became in 1994, the first Angolan club to reach the final of a CAF competition and to win the Angola Cup and the Angola Super Cup. Cuando Cubango Futebol Clube or simply Cuando Cubango FC is an Angolan sports club from the city of Menongue, in the Angolan southern province of Cuando Cubango. The club was founded as Futebol Clube da Casa Militar. In 2016, the team secured a place in the Gira Angola (Angola's second division championship) in 2016 after winning the Cuando Cubango province football championship. In 2017, the club qualified for the Angolan top division, the Girabola. In 2018, the club decided to change the name to Cuando Cubango Futebol Clube. Financial difficulties On January 22, 2022, during the 2021-22 Girabola season, the club's management threatened to drop out of the competition, citing financial difficulties related to an expense of 300 million kwanzas, but revealing the club was working together with the government of the Cuando Cubango province to find a solution. Santa Rita De Cássia FC
Santa Rita de Cássia Futebol Clube is an Angolan sports club from the city of Uíge. The team made its debut in the Gira Angola (Angola's second division championship) in 2016 after winning the Uige province football championship. The club is named after Italian saint Rita of Cascia in whose honor a sanctuary was built at the village of Casseche, Uíge city, where an annual pilgrimage is held. In 2016, its debutant year in the second division, the club managed to be promoted to Angola's top flight division, the Girabola. 2017 disaster On February 10, 2017, shortly after the inaugural match of the 2017 Girabola between home team Santa Rita de Cássia and Recreativo do Libolo, one of the access gates of Estádio 4 de Janeiro collapsed as access was made free and attendants tried to force their way into the stadium. Jackson Chileshe Chibwe Yokoniya
Jackson "Jack" Chileshe Chibwe (born 14 October 1983) is a retired Zambian football midfielder. A versatile forward, Chibwe can play either as a winger or attacking midfielder / second striker. Despite his short stature, Chibwe is known to be a good header of the ball. In 2011, he was convicted of match-fixing after taking bribes to fix the outcome of eleven games. Career Chibwe was one of the Zambians who came to RoPS in 2007. He came along with Nchimunya Mweetwa, Chanda Mwaba, Stephen Kunda and Zeddy Saileti's younger brother Derik Saileti for a trial. The quintet consisting of (Mweetwa, Kunda, Chibwe, Mwaba) were awarded contracts with RoPS following a successful trial. Chibwe later extended it to 2012. Académica Petróleos do Lobito, usually known as Académica Lobito, are a football (soccer) club from Lobito, Angola. The club was founded in 1970 as Académica da Chilimba by Mr. Geraldo Guiado and a few associates. 2018 Gira Angola
The 2018 Segundona was the 24th season of the second-tier football league in Angola. The season started on 9 June. The league comprises 2 series, one 4 and the other 5 teams, the winner of each series being automatically promoted to the 2018–19 Girabola while the runners-up of each group will contest for the third spot.
