Satyr is an American progressive, post-hardcore band from Atlanta, Georgia composed of vocalists and guitarists Michael Campbell, Janald Long, and drummer Brody Taylor Smith, who are currently signed to Kill Iconic Records. To date, they have released two studio albums, their acclaimed independent debut, ''Locus'' (2020) and most recent follow-up, Totem (2022). History Formed in 2016, Satyr started as the bedroom musical project of main songwriter Michael "Soup" Campbell while attending Georgia State University. Wanting to create rock music that was technically proficient with strong melodies and structure, Campbell began creating material and performing with a few classmates, which included original bassist, Calvin Cox during their early formation. Meshuggah () is a Swedish extreme metal band formed in Umeå in 1985. Originally, the band's name was Metallien. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Jens Kidman, guitarists Fredrik Thordendal and Mårten Hagström, drummer Tomas Haake and bassist Dick Lövgren. The Dillinger Escape Plan
The Dillinger Escape Plan was an American metalcore band. The band was formed in 1997 in Morris Plains, New Jersey by guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Adam Doll, vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, and drummer Chris Pennie. The band's use of odd time signatures, polyrhythms and unconventional drum patterns became a staple of their sound, although later albums incorporated more melody, and influences from a range of genres. The band's lineup shifted numerous times throughout its existence; by the time the group dissolved, Weinman was the only remaining founding member. Veil of Maya is an American metalcore band, formed in Chicago, Illinois, by members Marc Okubo and Sam Applebaum in 2004. Dance Gavin Dance is an American rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2005. The band currently consists of vocalists Jon Mess and Tilian Pearson, lead guitarist Will Swan, rhythm guitarist Andrew Wells, and drummer Matthew Mingus. Screaming is an extended vocal technique that is popular in "aggressive" music genres such as heavy metal, punk rock, and noise music and others. It is common in the more extreme subgenres of heavy metal, such as death and black metal as well as many other subgenres. Genres Classical and experimental music Although screams are often suggested in stories performed in the grand opera tradition, they were never performed literally, always being sung. ''Doppelgänger'' is the second studio album from American mathcore band the Fall of Troy, which followed up the band's bootlegged ''Ghostship Demos'' EP from 2004 as well as their self-titled LP from 2003. Four of the songs ("I Just Got This Symphony Goin'", "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.", "Mouths Like Sidewinder Missiles", "Whacko Jacko Steals the Elephant Man's Bones") were re-recorded versions of tracks from the self-titled album, hence the name ''Doppelgänger''. The Fall of Troy is an American rock band from Mukilteo, Washington.
