Satyanarayan
The Satyanarayanã Puja is a religious ritual worship of the Hindu god Vishnu. The puja is described in the ''Skanda Purana'', a medieval era Sanskrit text. According to Madhuri Yadlapati, the Satyanarayana Puja is an archetypal example of how "the Hindu puja facilitates the intimacy of devotional worship while enabling a humble sense of participating gratefully in a larger sacred world". The Puja The puja narrates the Satyanarayana Katha (storytelling format), Katha (story), which dictates the various worldly and spiritual benefits the puja brings to performers. The Katha states how the deity Narayana vows to aid his devotees during Kali Yuga, the last of the four ages in Hindu cosmology, in particular the performers and attendees of the Satyanarayana Puja. The Katha narrates that the performance of the puja is in itself a promise to God in Hinduism, God, and recounts the plights of characters who either fail to complete the puja or forget their promises. Koratala Satyanarayana
Koratala Satyanarayana (24 September 1923 – 1 July 2006) was a communist politician from Andhra Pradesh, India. He was a Politburo member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)). Electoral representation Koratala Satyanarayana was born in the village of Pyaparru, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. He joined the Indian independence movement in the 1940s. In the first general elections, held in 1952, Koratala contested in the Tenali Lok Sabha constituency. He lost with a slender margin of 1100 votes. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh in 1962, when he stood as a candidate in the Repalle constituency. In 1978, he was elected from the Repalle constituency. Vempatapu Satyanarayana
Vempatapu Satyanarayana (Satyam) was a schoolteacher, member of several Indian Communist organizations, and a leader of the Srikakulam peasant uprising of 1967, along with Adibhatla Kailasam and Subbarao Panigrahi. They had started the "land to tiller" movement in Andhra Pradesh, which later spread to South Odisha. Satyanarayana joined the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (CPI(ML)) through the All India Coordination Committee of Communist Revolutionaries (AICCCR). He became a member of the Central Organizing Committee of the CPI(ML) in 1969. Later, he became a member of the new Central Committee that was elected in the first party congress with Charu Majumdar as its General Secretary.
