Satyabrata Rout
Satyabrata Rout (born 17 March 1958) is an Indian theatre director Scenographer, Author and theatre academician. He is a former faculty member of the National School of Drama. At present, he is a professor and Head of the department of Theatre at University of Hyderabad, India. He is known for his contribution toward Visual theatre in India. In 2016 he received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for the field of Theatre Direction from the President, Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi. Early life and education He was born in Odisha in 1958 and graduated in Science from Ravenshaw University in 1977 then he went to the National School of Drama (NSD) in 1983, where he did his master's degree in theatre with specialisation in Design and Direction. Odisha
Odisha (English: , ), formerly Orissa ( the official name until 2011), is an Indian state located in Eastern India. It is the 8th largest state by area, and the 11th largest by population. Evam Indrajit
''Evam Indrajit'' (also ''Ebong Indrajit'' depending on the transliteration from Bangla) (Bangla: এবং ইন্দ্রজিত; in English: ''And Indrajit'') is the most celebrated work of Indian dramatist and theater director Badal Sarkar. It was originally written in Bengali in the year 1962 and performed by the theatre group 'Shatabdi' formed by the writer. Ebong Indrajit became a landmark in the Indian theatres and was translated into many languages over the years. Dr Pratibha Agarwal translated it into Hindi during 1970. Later in the year 1974 it was translated into English by Girish Karnad and published by Oxford University Press. Ebong Indrajit is a play about the mediocre class. In theatre, a lighting designer (or LD) works with the director, choreographer, set designer, costume designer, and sound designer to create the lighting, atmosphere, and time of day for the production in response to the text while keeping in mind issues of visibility, safety, and cost. The LD also works closely with the stage manager or show control programming, if show control systems are used in that production. Sahitya Kala Parishad (साहित्य कला परिषद) (Academy of Performing and Fine Arts) is the Cultural wing of the Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) of Delhi for music, dance, drama & fine arts, established in 1968, under the 'Department Of Art, Culture And Language'. Ekalavya
Ekalavya (Sanskrit: एकलव्य, ''ékalavya'') is a character from the Indian epic Mahābhārata. He was a young prince of the Nishadas, a confederation of forest and hill tribes in ancient India. Ekalavya is called as one of the foremost of Kings in the Rajasuya Yagya where he honours Yudhishthira by offering shoes with respect. Eklavya was noted as a very powerful archer and warrior.
