Melissa Satta (born 7 February 1986) is an Italian television presenter. She was a showgirl in the Italian satirical series ''Striscia la notizia''. Satta has appeared in ''Maxim'' magazine and was featured in the 2010 ''Sports Illustrated'' swimsuit issue. Satta lives and works in Italy. Early years Satta was born to Italian parents, native to the island of Sardinia, Mariangela Muzzu and Enzo Satta, on 7 February 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Salvatore Satta
Salvatore Satta (9 August 1902 in Nuoro – 19 April 1975 in Rome) was an Italian jurist and writer. He is famous for the novel '' The Day of Judgment'' (orig. it, Il giorno del giudizio) (1975), and for several important studies on civil law. Biography He was the youngest son of notary Salvatore Satta and Antonietta Galfrè, and relative of Sebastiano Satta. After attending the Liceo classico in Nuoro and Sassari, he graduated in law in 1924 at the University of Sassari. Sebastiano Satta
Sebastiano Satta (Nuoro, 21 May 1867 – Nuoro 29 November 1914) was an Italian poet, writer, lawyer and journalist. He is considered the best-known Sardinian poet. Many streets in Italy are named after him, including the square where he used to live in Nuoro, where sculptures made by Costantino Nivola are located. He graduated in law at the University of Sassari in 1894. After collaborating with the regional newspaper La Nuova Sardegna, he successfully worked in Nuoro as a lawyer. ''Satta'' () is a 2003 Indian political drama film co-written and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. ''Matka'' gambling or ''satta'' is a form of betting and lottery which originally involved betting on the opening and closing rates of cotton transmitted from the New York Cotton Exchange to the Bombay Cotton Exchange. It originates from before the era of Indian independence when it was known as ''Ankada Jugar'' ("figures gambling"). In the 1960s, the system was replaced with other ways of generating random numbers, including pulling slips from a large earthenware pot known as a '' matka'', or dealing with playing cards. Matka gambling is illegal in India. As per the Public Gambling Act, 1867 both betting establishments and satta matka houses were outlawed completely.
