Satori (band)
Satori started in 2005 as a side project for Steve Borth, former saxophonist for Rx Bandits. The band released '' Savor Every Moment'' in 2005 on Asian Man Records. Other musicians on the album included other Rx Bandits members Matt Embree (guitar, backup vocals), Chris Tsagakis (drums), Chris Sheets (trombone), and Steve Choi (keyboards) with Borth taking saxophone and lead vocal duties. In June 2006, Borth left Rx Bandits to focus his attention to Satori. With help from friends in the current reggae, ska and dub scene, including members of The Soul Captives, The Chris Murray Combo, Howards Alias Howards Alias were a band in the turn-of-the-millennium UK underground punk scene. They formed in 1999 in Southampton, England, and blended an eclectic mix of rock, progressive, punk and ska influences into their own musical output. Rx Bandits
Rx Bandits are an American four-piece band based in Seal Beach, California, United States. The band formed in 1995 in Orange County, California. They have appeared on the Vans Warped Tour, at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and at The Bamboozle. History Early years (1995-1999) Originally known as The Pharmaceutical Bandits, the band began their career by participating in the third wave ska revival of the 1990s. In 1997, they released ''Those Damn Bandits'', which featured guest appearances by Jimmy the Robot of the Aquabats and Chris Colonnier of Jeffries Fan Club and The Forces of Evil. Noting the Bandits' potential, a Los Angeles Times review of the album said "Now comes a young, talented ska band, the Pharmaceutical Bandits. Matt Embree
Matthew Embree is an American singer and guitarist best known as the front-man of Rx Bandits. He also has played lead guitar and sung vocals for The Sound of Animals Fighting, in which he was known as "The Walrus". He produced their last album '' The Ocean and the Sun''. Since 2016, Embree has been a touring member of Dispatch (band) Dispatch is an American indie/roots band. The band consists of Brad Corrigan (vocals, drums, guitar, percussion, harmonica) and Chad Urmston (vocals, guitar, bass, percussion). The band's original bassist, Pete Francis Heimbold, left in 2019. .... Chris Tsagakis
Christopher Tsagakis (born July 27, 1979) is one of the founding members and current drummer for the band Rx Bandits. He is also a member of The Sound of Animals Fighting, with former bandmate Rich Balling, and has an electronic side project entitled Technology. Chris was recently sponsored by Dark Horse Percussion, and now tours with a custom made four-piece Dark Horse Percussion drum set. Personal life Chris was born to Nancy Boyd (née Aros, formerly Tsagakis), a florist; and Mike Tsagakis, a landscaper. He is of Greek and white heritage. He has two younger siblings: Jonny Tsagakis, former member of Rx Bandits, and Gabriel Tsagakis. Chris attended Los Alamitos High School, but graduated from Laurel High Continuation School in 1997.
