Sathyapal T.A (born 1956 at Thrippunithura in Ernakulam District of Kerala) is an Indian painter and writer from Kerala. As an artist he lived with tribes in Bastar, Ektal, Gadabengal, Amarkhnadak, Barsur, Mardum, Bindha, Karampur, Chilkutty, Sarguja, Kondagon, Anjar, Keralapal, Narayanpur, Mahasamud, Khoraput Chitrakoot and Kabir Chabutra. He is recipient of several honours including the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Award. He is the former secretary & chairman of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi. Thripunithura
Thrippunithura or Tripunithura (), is a prominent historical and residential region in the City of Kochi in Kerala, India. Located about 7 km (4 mi) from the city centre, Tripunithura was the capital of the erstwhile Kingdom of Cochin. The descendants of the Cochin royal family still live in the palaces here. The Hill Palace situated in Tripunithura was the palace of Maharaja of Cochin, the ruler of Kingdom of Cochin. Tripunithura is also well known for its historical cultures and worldwide famous because of Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple and the annual festival ''Vrishchikoltsawam'' that takes place at the temple. Kerala Lalithakala Akademi
Kerala Lalithakala Academy for Fine Arts is an autonomous body which was established in 1962 to promote art and artistic heritage, based at Thrissur in Kerala. Murali Cheeroth is the newly appointed chairman of Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi on 2022 January. Though the Government of Kerala provides funding and support for the academy, the administration of the academy is designed to be autonomous by its constitution.
