Satellite is the second single from Guster's 2006 album ''Ganging Up on the Sun''. The song received support from U.S. alternative rock radio, but failed to chart on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Guster
Guster is an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Founding members Adam Gardner, Ryan Miller, and Brian Rosenworcel began practice sessions while attending Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and formed the band in 1991. The members met during the freshman Wilderness Orientation program in August of that year, playing publicly together as a trio two months later at the Midnight Cafe coffee house set in the common area of the Lewis Hall dormitory. While attending Tufts, the band lived at 139 College Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. The band stayed "underground" for its first two full-length albums, ''Parachute'' (1994) and '' Goldfly'' (1997), but broke into the musical mainstream in 1999 with its third studio album ''Lost and Gone Forever'', featuring the single "Fa Fa", which made it onto the Adult Top 40. Adam Bizanski ( he, אדם ביזנסקי; born January 29, 1983) is a writer, director and animator. Career Hailing from a self-taught animation background, he is best known for his award-winning music video collaborations with bands such as the Shins, Wolf Parade, and Zero 7. On May 9, 2005, Bizanski's animated video for The Shins "Pink Bullets", depicting a love story between two soulful paper-made cows, was amongst the first five videos chosen to demonstrate iTunes music store's new capability to sell videos. He had won the best animated music video award for three consecutive years at ASIF (ASIFA's Israel branch), for his videos for Yoni Bloch, the Shins, and Zero 7. ''Martian Child'' is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Menno Meyjes and based on David Gerrold's 1994 novelette (not the expanded 2002 novel) of the same name. Satellite EP
''Satellite EP'' is the fifth EP by the rock band Guster. It was released on 10 April 2007. It is Guster's third EP with the musician Joe Pisapia. The EP includes both live recordings and songs recorded during the creation of ''Ganging Up On The Sun'' but not included on the album. The Astronauts, a producing team, remixed a techno-inspired version of "Satellite" that appears on this EP as well. This was first released as an iTunes single and a radio edit of this song received airplay on radio stations. " Two of Us" is a Beatles song which the band covers on the EP. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is a somewhat less-than-serious cover of the original Bonnie Tyler song, recorded at a concert at the State Theater in Portland, Maine. Brian Rosenworcel, the band's drummer, sings the lead vocals, a rare occurrence in Guster's music. ''Ganging Up on the Sun'' is the fifth studio album by the rock band Guster. It was released on June 20, 2006. The first single, "One Man Wrecking Machine", was released in late 2005 and its follow-up, "Satellite", in March 2006. It is Guster's second studio album with Joe Pisapia, his first as a full member. The title comes from a line in the song "Manifest Destiny": "The moon and stars are ganging up on the sun". The album is Guster's most successful release to date, entering the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart at number 25, topping '' Keep It Togethers entry at number 35 in 2003. Joe Pisapia (born July 25, 1968) is an American record producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, who was formerly a part of the band Guster and k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang. In the past he has also released albums with his band Joe, Marc's Brother, his side project Watercolor, and the solo albums ''Daydreams'' (2002) and ''Nightvision'' (2015). Albums Pisapia released his first solo album ''Daydreams'' in 2002. He and Liz Hodder collaborated to produce ''Beautiful Mistakes'' under the band name Watercolor. With his band Joe, Marc's Brother, he has released ''Around The Year With Joe, Marc's Brother'', ''The Pennsylvania Sessions'', ''Autumnninetyeight EP'', and The Debut Of Joe, Marc's Brother''.
