Satelight
is a Japanese animation studio. Aside from several stand-alone projects, the studio is well known for producing the '' Aquarion'' and '' Symphogear'' franchises, as well as later installments of the ''Macross'' franchise. The company's Representative Director is Michiaki Satō. Noted anime director and creator Shōji Kawamori is a Special Adviser at the studio. The name Satelight consists of ''S'' for Sapporo, ''A'' for Animate, ''T'' for Technology and ''E'' for Entertainment. History The studio was founded in late 1995, in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, their first project being ''Bit the Cupid'', the world's first fully digitally-animated television series. In 1996, the studio's next project was producing the CG animation for Group TAC's '' Īhatōbu Gensō: Kenji no Haru''. It soon established a production studio in 1998 in Suginami, Tokyo. Symphogear
is a Japanese anime television franchise animated by Satelight. The original season aired on Tokyo MX between January and March 2012. The second season entitled ''Symphogear G'' aired between July and September 2013, The third season, ''Symphogear GX'', aired between July and September 2015, and the fourth season, ''Symphogear AXZ'', aired between July and September 2017. The fifth and final season, ''Symphogear XV'', aired between July and September 2019. is a Japanese anime television series and the third Japanese anime television series set in the ''Macross'' universe. It was broadcast on MBS from April 4, 2008 to September 26, 2008. ''Macross Frontier'' is the story of a human space colony fleet trying to find a habitable planet near the center of the Milky Way. Kamichama Karin
is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Koge-Donbo about a seventh grade girl named Karin who finds out that she can transform into a goddess. The series began as a manga first serialized in January 2003. Kamichama Karin was serialized in the Japanese shōjo manga magazine ''Nakayoshi'' and published by Kodansha. Heat Guy J
is a Japanese anime television series created and directed by ''Escaflowne'' director Kazuki Akane and animated by Satelight. ''Heat Guy J'' was licensed and distributed in the U.S. in 2003 by Pioneer (which subsequently became Geneon Entertainment). It was re-released by Funimation in the fall of 2009. Shōji Kawamori
is a Japanese anime creator and producer, screenwriter, visual artist, and mecha designer. He is best known for creating the ''Macross'' mecha anime franchise and the ''Diaclone'' toyline, which were in turn the basis for the ''Robotech'' and ''Transformers'' franchises, respectively.
