They have eight legs, and are easily recognized by a pair of grasping pincers and a narrow, segmented tail, often carried in a characteristic forward curve over the back and always ending with a stinger. The sharpshooter, originally named sasori-gatame, scorpion hold in English, is a professional wrestling holds, professional wrestling submission hold. It is also known by several alternative names, the most common being Scorpion Death-Lock. The move was invented by Japanese Professional wrestling, professional wrestler Riki Choshu, and was popularized by Sting (wrestler), Sting, who mostly does the standing variation rather than the sitting variation.
