Fudbalski klub Smederevo 1924 ( sr-cyr, Фудбалски клуб Смедерево 1924), commonly known as Smederevo, is a Serbian professional football club based in Smederevo. During Yugoslavia the club mainly played in amateur ranks of competition. Sartid Smederevo as the club was known in this era (''Srpsko akcionarsko rudarsko topioničarsko industrijsko društvo'') managed to beat Crvena Zvezda 1–0 in the 2002–03 Serbia and Montenegro Cup final at Partizan Stadium, achieving the club's greatest success in its history. Smederevo ( sr-Cyrl, Смедерево, ) is a city and the administrative center of the Podunavlje District in eastern Serbia. It is situated on the right bank of the Danube, about downstream of the Serbian capital, Belgrade. According to the 2011 census, the city has a population of 64,105, with 108,209 people living in its administrative area. Taxation in Serbia consists of the following; the standard corporate tax rate in Serbia is 15%, although some deductions might apply. The standard VAT rate is 20% and the lower rate is 10%. Income from dividends is a subject to a 15% tax. Serbia has tax treaties with most countries in, but few outside, Europe. The standard personal tax rate is 10%. If the individual earns more than 3 times average salary, an additional tax rate of 10% is applied. For a person earning six times the average salary, an additional 15% is applied on top of the previously described taxes. Assassination Of Zoran Đinđić
Zoran Đinđić, the sixth Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, was assassinated on Wednesday 12 March 2003, in Belgrade, Serbia. Đinđić was fatally shot by a sniper while exiting his vehicle outside of the back entrance of the Serbian government headquarters. Background Đinđić previously escaped an assassination attempt in February 2003, in which a truck driven by Dejan Milenković (AKA ''Bagzi''), a member of the Zemun Clan, an organized crime group, attempted to force the Prime Minister's car off the road in Novi Beograd.
