Sarsilmaz Firearms Corp. (often referred to as 'Sars' for short) is a privately owned small arms manufacturer based in Düzce, Turkey. The company was founded in 1880 in the Ottoman Empire, and is the largest small arms manufacturer in Turkey. Sarsilmaz is the official pistol supplier, and produces many of the small arms for the Turkish National Police and the Turkish Armed Forces, and exports firearms to 78 countries. In addition to their small arms manufacturing, Sarsilmaz entered the aviation components industry under the name TR Mekatronik in 2013, and has become one of the largest subcontractors in the sector. Sarsilmaz firearms were formerly imported into the United States by E.A.A. In 2018 Sarsilmaz founded SAR USA to be the exclusive importer and distributor for Sarsilmaz firearms into the United States. Düzce
Düzce is the capital city of Düzce Province, the eighty-first Province in Turkey. The population is 367,087 and in 2009 was 125,240, an increase from 61,878 in 1990. Overview Düzce is the eighty-first and the newest province of Turkey. It is situated on the Black Sea between the Capital Ankara and Istanbul. It was greatly affected by both the Marmara and Düzce earthquakes of 1999. Ankara is 240 km to the east and Istanbul is 228 km to the west. AR-15 Style Rifle
An AR-15-style rifle is any lightweight semi-automatic rifle based on the Colt AR-15 design. The original ArmaLite AR-15 is a scaled-down derivative of Eugene Stoner's ArmaLite AR-10 design. The then Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation division ArmaLite sold the patent and trademarks to Colt's Manufacturing Company in 1959. After most of Colt's patents for the Colt AR-15 expired in 1977, many firearm manufacturers began to produce copies of the Colt AR-15 under various names. While the patents are expired, Colt retained the trademark of the AR-15 and is the sole manufacturer able to label their firearms as ''AR-15''. The "AR" in Colt AR-15 stands for "ArmaLite Rifle", not " assault rifle". SAR 109T
The SAR 109T is a blowback 9×19mm submachine gun manufactured in 2014 by Sarsılmaz. Design The SAR 109T is a lightweight and modular submachine gun that resembles the American ArmaLite AR-15 (M16). According to the manufacturer, it discharges casings from the right in single shooting mode. The barrel has polygonal rifling and a spin length of 2.5 mm. A force of 25 N is required to pull the trigger. The gun has a right turn 6-yiv set barrel profile. The chassis of the 109T is a two-part aluminium alloy receiver with a hammer-fired mil-spec trigger. Firing controls include an M16-type non-reciprocating charging handle and an M16-style fire mode selector/safety switch. Sarsılmaz Kılınç 2000
The Sarsılmaz Kılınç 2000 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 9×19mm Parabellum round. It is manufactured at the Sarsılmaz Silah Sanayi factory in Turkey. It was previously sold in the U.S. by the ArmaLite corporation under the ArmaLite name as the AR-24. It is now self-imported by SAR USA as the SAR2000 with an updated thick rubber tactical grip and black phosphate finish.
