Saroj Raj Choudhury
Saroj Raj Choudhury was an Indian environmentalist, wildlife conservationist, writer and the first Forest Conservator under the Government of Odisha. He was also the founder director of the Simlipal National Park, in the Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Odisha. Choudhury was known for the pugmark technique he employed for tiger census and for his comradeship with ''Khairi'', a domesticated tigress. His experiences with the animal has been documented in a book, ''Khairi: The Beloved Tigress'', written by him and published in 1977. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1983. Saroj Thanasunti ( th, สาโรจน์ ธนสันติ) is a Thai diplomat. He has served in various diplomatic roles, and has been Ambassador of Thailand to Chile, to El Salvador, and to Costa Rica since 2016. Career Saroj studied economics, Finance and Banking at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and has a master's degree in Management and Human Relations from Abilene Christian University. During his diplomatic career Saroj served in the Thai embassies in Seoul, Mexico City and Washington, D.C., and in the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He worked in the ministry's Latin America Division, and in the American and South Pacific Affairs, European Affairs, and Protocol Departments, becoming assistant general director of the Protocol Department in 2011. Vinod Kumar Saroj (born 1 July 1980) is a politician from Bela Pratapgarh, India. Since 2007, he has been elected on three occasions as an independent Member of the Legislative Assembly, representing the Babaganj assembly constituency of Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Education and background Saroj was born on 1 July 1980 in Pratapgarh. He is son of Ramnath Saroj, who won assembly elections in 1996 and 2002 for Bihar constituency of Pratapgarh. Career Vinod Saroj was elected as a legislator for the first time in 2007 from the Bihar Assembly constituency by a margin of 47.22% votes, defeating nearest Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Krishna Chand.
