Sareh Javanmardi
Sareh Javanmardi ( fa, , born 5 December 1984) is an Iranian Paralympic shooter from Shiraz, Iran. Also known as Sareh Javanmardidodmani or Sareh Javanmardi Dodmani, she is the first ever female gold medalist from Iran to win in the shooting category of the Paralympics Games. Career In 2012 Paralympic Games held in London, she won a bronze medal in P2 (10m air pistol SH1). Later in 2014, she was chosen as the best Asian female athlete with impairments by the Asian Paralympic Committee. It was due to the two gold medals she won at the 2014 Asian Para Games held in Incheon, South Korea. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics on 9 September, she scored 193.4 points to win the gold medal at the Rio de Janeiro in the P2 10m air pistol competition. Shooting Para Sport
Paralympic shooting, also known as shooting Para sport, is an adaptation of shooting sports for competitors with disabilities. Shooting is a test of accuracy and control, in which competitors use pistols or rifles to fire a series of shots at a stationary target. Each shot is worth a maximum score of 10.9 points. Athletes use .22 caliber rifles, pistols and .177 caliber air guns (compressed air or pneumatic). Paralympic shooting first appeared in the Summer Paralympics at the 1976 Toronto Games. Competitions are open to all athletes with a physical disability. Shooting utilizes a functional classification system, which enables wheelchair users and ambulant athletes from different disability classes to compete together either individually or in teams. Olivera Nakovska-Bikova (born 11 November 1974) is a Macedonian paralympian and sports shooter who won the gold medal in the women's 10 metre air pistol SH1 at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, England. Olivera is also competing in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games. Career Olivera Nakovska-Bikova was born in Bitola, SR Macedonia. She went on to compete in shooting sports, becoming successful specifically with air pistols, winning the European Championships in 2001 and being part of the team who won the silver medal at the 2002 IPC Shooting World Championships. She attended her first Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece, in 2004, where she finished sixth in the competition. She qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, England, following a third-place result at a World Cup event in Zagreb in 2010.
