Sarcochilus Falcatus
''Sarcochilus falcatus'', commonly known as the orange blossom orchid, is a small epiphytic or lithophytic orchid that is endemic to eastern Australia. It has up to eight, leathery leaves with fine teeth on the edges and up to twelve white to cream-coloured flowers with a white labellum that has orange and purple markings. Description ''Sarcochilus falcatus'' is a small epiphytic or lithophytic herb with a stem long with between three and eight leathery, often curved leaves long and wide with fine teeth on the edges. Between three and twelve white to cream-coloured, fragrant flowers long and wide are arranged on an arching flowering stem long. The sepals and petals are egg-shaped, spread widely apart from each other and are long and wide. The labellum is white with orange and purple markings, long with three lobes. Dorrigo National Park is a national park in New South Wales, Australia, north of Sydney on Dome Road off the Waterfall Way, east of the town of Dorrigo. History The park is part of the New England Group of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia inscribed in 1986 and added to the Australian National Heritage List in 2007. ''Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae et Insulae Van Diemen'' (Prodromus of the Flora of New Holland and Van Diemen's Land) is a flora of Australia written by botanist Robert Brown and published in 1810. Often referred to as ''Prodromus Flora Novae Hollandiae'', or by its standard botanical abbreviation ''Prodr. Fl. Nov. Holland.'', it was the first attempt at a survey of the Australian flora. It described over 2040 species, over half of which were published for the first time. Dungog
Dungog is a country town on the Williams River in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. Located in the middle of dairy and timber country, it is the centre of the Dungog Shire local government area and at the 2016 census it had a population of 2,025 people. Basidiocarps (fruit bodies) are effused and the genus is sometimes grouped among the corticioid fungi, though species also retain features of the heterobasidiomycetes. Ngalba Bulal is a national park in the Shire of Cook, Queensland, Australia. In 2015, Cedar Bay National Park became the Mangkalba (Cedar Bay) section of the Ngalba Bulal National Park. Geography The park is northwest of Brisbane, south of Cooktown and accessible only by boat or foot. The park is one of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area series of national parks, and is a gazetted World Heritage Site.
