Saratu Iya Aliyu
Saratu Iya Aliyu (born 24 September 1948) is the 20th president of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and the second female president after Alaba Lawson . Saratu is a Nigerian business director and the Managing Director of Sarat Group of Company. She has her B.Ed from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria. She lectured at Kaduna State Polytechnic and ABU. She is a recipient of the “Paragon of Excellence and Impetus for Greater Services to our Fatherland” by Abubakar Tafawa Foundation and “ Ambassador for Peace” by Inter Religious and Interactional Federation for World Peace. Ahmadu Bello University Zaria is a federal government research university in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. ABU was founded on 4 October 1962, as the pioneer university in Northern Nigeria. It was founded and named after the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria. The university operates two campuses: Samaru (main) and Kongo in Zaria. Chief Alaba Lawson (born Alaba Oluwaseun Lawson on January 18, 1951) is a Nigerian business magnate, entrepreneur and academician. She currently serves as the first female president of NACCIMA and chairman of the board of the Governing Council, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State. Chief Lawson is also the president pro-tempore of the Forum of Female Traditional Rulers in Nigeria. Nuhu Aliyu Labbo (born 1941) is a Nigerian politician elected to the Senate for the Niger North constituency of Niger State in 1999 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007. Background Nuhu Aliyu was born in June 1941. He studied Advance Police Management at the Police Staff College in Jos. He became a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police. In June 1994, the arrest of opposition leader Moshood Abiola in Lagos triggered demonstrations. Abiola had been elected president of Nigeria in 1993, but the election results were annulled by the military president Ibrahim Babangida.
