Sarai Kale Khan ISBT
Sarai Kale Khan Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is a major bus terminus complex in Delhi, India catering to bus services to Haryana and Rajasthan states. Built to decongest the over-crowded Kashmere Gate ISBT, which was unable to bear the increase in inter-State traffic, construction of Rs. 80-crore terminus complex began in March 1996, and it was commissioned in January 2005 though it was subsequently redeveloped to handle the increased volume of passengers. Further it is aimed to integrate with the Delhi Metro Rail link coming up near Pragati Maidan and also inter-connect the bus terminus with Nizamuddin Railway Station to cater to the rising volume of passenger traffic. Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station
Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station (station code: NZM) is a railway station in South Delhi, India. It is under the administrative control of the Delhi Division of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. Swami Vivekanand Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) popularly known as Anand Vihar ISBT, located in East Delhi is one of the three Inter State Bus Terminals in Delhi. Anand Vihar ISBT was built in 1993, but it became fully functional with effect from March 1996. It is spread over an area of approximately 25 acres and operates bus services between Delhi and two other states, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Maharana Pratap Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) popularly known as Kashmere Gate ISBT, located in Delhi is the oldest and one of the biggest Inter State Bus Terminals in India. It operates bus services between Delhi and 7 other regions: Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. Spread over an area of about 5.3 acres, it handles over 1800 buses a day. History Kashmere Gate ISBT was opened in 1976. INA colony is a residential colony maintained by the Airports Authority of India for their employees. It was named after a former private airline, Indian National Airways, which was amongst those nationalised and merged to form, Indian Airlines in 1953. Mayur Vihar
Mayur Vihar is an upmarket residential area in East Delhi close to the Noida-Delhi border, situated just across the Yamuna River, and is divided into three distinct phases. As the name suggests, it has been the dwelling (''vihar'') of peacocks (''mayur''). Even today, the area has a closed sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of peacocks. This residential area came into existence in 1979–80, back when the trans-Yamuna area, part of today's East Delhi was sparsely populated.
