Sarah Young (born 10 May 1989) is a British DJ and record producer. Biography Early life Sarah's music taste came from her mixed heritage and musical entourage where she grew up listening to Indian and Arab music, influenced by her mother, who played piano, violin and flute. Although quoted to have not enjoyed school, Young attended the Academy of Contemporary Music from 12 years old and played the drums from an early age. Education Attending University of the Arts London, Young was a student by day and DJ by night, mixing house music, kuduro and international bass music. Not long after she graduated, she made the decision to become a full-time record producer. Musical career Whilst holding down a weekly show on the radio, Sarah discovered Moombahton and premiered the ‘ Moombahton Mash up’ feature consisting of tracks and remixes in a 10-minute mash up mix. Sarah Graham Palmer Young (August 19, 1830 - April 6, 1908) worked as a regimental nurse during the American Civil War. In 1867, she published ''The Story of Aunt Becky's Army-Life'', an account of her wartime experiences. Early life and marriages She was born in Ithaca, New York as Sarah A. Graham. She married Abel O. Palmer, who died before 1862, and married David C. Young on April 6, 1867, after the Civil War. Nursing during the Civil War Palmer left Ithaca on September 3, 1862, following the 109th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment to Laurel, Maryland and leaving her two daughters in the care of relatives. The regiment initially served at Annapolis Junction, Maryland, guarding the railroad to Washington, D.C. In one anecdote she told, during the Siege of Petersburg Palmer wanted to send a seriously ill patient to Washington but the doctor in charge objected. Sarah Jane Young (; known as Jeanne Forster Young; 1 July 1866 – 11 April 1955) was an Australian political reformer. Born at Unley in Adelaide to smith John Forster and Sarah Jane, ''née'' Jarvis, she received a private education before becoming a governess and piano teacher; she also attempted freelance journalism, and lost the sight in one eye in an accident with a horse and trap. She married journalist Alfred Howard Young at her father's home in East Adelaide on 23 January 1889. She became secretary of the Effective Voting League in 1897 as Jeanne Forster Young and named Catherine Spence as an inspiration. The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is a biennial race that takes paying amateur crews on one or more legs of a circumnavigation of the globe in 11 specially-designed identical yachts owned by Clipper Ventures. Professional skippers and additional qualified persons (AQPs) lead each teams on the 10-month journey. All participants must complete a four week training course before starting the race. The race was conceived in 1995 by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and is run by Clipper Ventures plc. The race has been held every two years since 1996, although in 2004 there was not a race and biennial racing resumed in 2005. In contrast to the now-defunct Global Challenge, the Clipper Race route follows the prevailing currents and winds and uses lighter, faster boats. Her books have sold over 45 million units worldwide. She has been described as one of the most successful Christian authors in history.
