Sarah Stoodley
Sarah Stoodley is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in the 2019 Newfoundland and Labrador general election, 2019 provincial election. She represents the electoral district of Mount Scio as a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal Party. Prior to her election to the House of Assembly, Stoodley was an elected alumni representative on the Memorial University Board of Regents and a board member of the Pippy Park Commission. Political career Stoodley was elected to the House of Assembly in the 2019 election and was one of only 2 Liberals (alongside Elvis Loveless) elected for the first time. In June 2019 she was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation. The Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly is the Unicameralism, unicameral deliberative assembly of the General Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Elvis Loveless is a Canadian politician, who was elected as a Liberal Party of Canada, Liberal to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in the 2019 Newfoundland and Labrador general election, 2019 provincial election. He represents the electoral district of Fortune Bay-Cape La Hune in Central Newfoundland. On August 19, 2020, Loveless was appointed Minister of Fisheries, Forestry, and Agriculture in the Furey government. Loveless was re-elected in the 2021 provincial election. He was appointed Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. Before being elected, Loveless worked for then-MHA Oliver Langdon. Mount Scio
Mount Scio is a provincial electoral district in Newfoundland and Labrador. As of 2011 there are 14,482 people living in the district. Mount Scio includes part of the town of Paradise and the part of the city of St. John's. The district was created following the 2015 electoral districts boundaries review. The majority of Mount Scio was previously the district of St. John's North. The district also includes parts of the former districts of Mount Pearl North, St. John's East and Topsail. The Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador is a political party in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The party is the provincial branch, and affiliate of the federal Liberal Party of Canada. It has served as the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador since December 14, 2015.
