Sarah Healy
Sarah Healy (born 13 February 2001 in Monkstown) is an Irish middle-distance runner. She won gold for the 1500m and 3000m at the 2018 European Athletics U18 Championships in Győr, Hungary. Healy also won silver in the 1500m the following year. She won the Irish National Cross Country Championships in November 2022. In June 2023, she won the 1500m race at the Paavo Nurmi Games. Monkstown, County Dublin
Monkstown (), historically known as ''Carrickbrennan'' ( gle, Carraig Bhraonáin), is a suburb in south Dublin, located in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. It is on the coast, between Blackrock and Dún Laoghaire. The lands of the Carrickbrennan estate form the greater part of the civil parish of Monkstown. History A church was built at Carrickbrennan (as Monkstown was then known) before the 8th century, and dedicated to Saint Mochonna, bishop of Inispatrick or Holmpatrick by Skerries. The grange of Carrickbrennan, otherwise Monkstown, was granted by the King to the Cistercian monks of Saint Mary's Abbey, Dublin, in 1200. The monks built their grange near to the church, and the village grew up around it. The lands of which it was a part extended as far south as Bulloch harbour on the outskirts of Dalkey, where the monks constructed a fishing harbour protected by a castle. The women's 1500 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest from 19 to 22 August 2023. Summary Since 2015 when she lost to the world record holder Genzebe Dibaba, the only time Faith Kipyegon has lost a World title race was 2019, when Sifan Hassan ran away from the field. Both Hassan and Kipyegon were back, but Kipyegon was now the world record holder, and not only in the 1500 m; she had also taken down Hassan's mile record and the 5000 m record as well, all this year.
