Sarah Glenn
Sarah Glenn (born 27 August 1999) is an English cricketer who plays for the England women's cricket team as a leg break bowler. She also plays for Derbyshire, The Blaze, London Spirit and Brisbane Heat. After making her England debut in 2019, she played in the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup and broke into the top 10 of the ICC T20I Bowling Rankings later that year. In September 2022, she rose to second in the Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) bowling rankings. Early life Glenn was born on 27 August 1999 in Derby. She was home-schooled for much of her early education, and later attended Trent College, where she played boys' first XI cricket. Her sister, Hannah, played cricket for Derbyshire between 2008 and 2011, whilst her uncle Michael played for Derbyshire CCC in 1975 and 1976. 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup
The 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament. It was held in Australia between 21 February and 8 March 2020. The final took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on International Women's Day. Hosts Australia won the tournament, beating India by 85 runs, to win their fifth title. It was a standalone tournament, the men's tournament was initially held eight months ahead of the schedule, but would be postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Australia were the defending champions, and lost their opening match of the tournament against India. Gloucestershire Women Cricket Team
The Gloucestershire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Gloucestershire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, and are captained by Alice Hill. In 2019, they played in Division Three of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and in 2021 won the South West Group of the Women's Twenty20 Cup. Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface. The stick is made of wood, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or a combination of carbon fibre and fibreglass in different quantities. Derbyshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Derbyshire. Its limited overs team is called the Derbyshire Falcons in reference to the famous peregrine falcon which nests on the Derby Cathedral (it was previously called the Derbyshire Scorpions until 2005 and the Phantoms until 2010). Michael Glenn (born 14 June 1956) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire. A Belper native, the youngster, only eighteen at the time of his debut first-class appearance in 1975, had represented the team in the Second XI Championship since the previous season. He was only able to inspire the Derbyshire team to finish third-bottom of the County Championship table in 1975, however, with the hope of changing fortunes the following season, he was only to see play in two more first-class games, and having barely turned 20, found himself out of the first-team. Glenn also briefly played for the Second XI teams of Northamptonshire and Worcestershire. The International Cricket Council Player Rankings is a widely followed system of rankings for international cricketers based on their recent performances. The current sponsor is MRF Tyres who signed a 4-year deal with the ICC that will last until 2020. Currently 10 teams are considered for ''WODI'' ranking whereas for ''WT20I'' it includes all the eligible association members of ICC.
