Sarah Coope
Sarah Coope is a British former professional triathlete and current triathlon coach. Triathlon career From 1985 to 1989 Coope competed in eight European Triathlon Union (ETU). sanctioned races, before participating in the inaugural International Triathlon Union (ITU) Triathlon World Championships in Avignon, placing 12th. She was one of two British female triathletes at the race, with her compatriot Cathy Bow finishing 24th. She went on to compete internationally until 1992, and is considered the most victorious British triathlete of the 1980s, taking the title of ETU European Triathlon Champion five times at three different distances, standard, middle and long. She also became the European duathlon champion in 1991. She moved to long-course triathlon in the latter years of her career, placing third woman overall at the 1991 Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Glenn Cook is a British former professional triathlete, Team GB Olympic Women's head coach, London 2012 selector and now working as a triathlon coach in Eastbourne. The Ironman World Championship has been held annually in Hawaii since 1978, with an additional race in 1982. It is owned and organized by the World Triathlon Corporation. It is the annual culmination of a series of Ironman triathlon qualification races held throughout the world. Chloe Cook
Chloe Cook (born 1994) is a British professional triathlete. Career Cook competes at sprint, standard and Ironman 70.3 distances. Her highest placed results to date in the ITU came at the 2015 Burgas and 2017 Tartu ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cups, finishing second in both races. In 2019 she competed at the 70.3 Ironman Staffordshire, placing 4th female behind Lucy Charles-Barclay, Emma Pallant and Katrina Matthews (nee Rye) with a time of 4:30:20. She came out of the water in second place, maintained this position off the bike through T2 but then lost ground to Pallant and Matthews, with Pallant recording the fastest run split to take second place. Eastbourne
Eastbourne () is a town and seaside resort in East Sussex, on the south coast of England, east of Brighton and south of London. Eastbourne is immediately east of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain and part of the larger Eastbourne Downland Estate. The seafront consists largely of Victorian hotels, a pier, theatre, contemporary art gallery and a Napoleonic era fort and military museum.
