Sara Falotico
Sara Falotico (born 28 June 1984) is an Italian-Belgian figure skater. Competing for Belgium until 2006, she became a three-time Belgian national champion (2002, 2004, and 2005) and reached the free skate at six ISU Championships. In 2014, she began competing for Italy. Career Falotico represented Belgium at the World Championships three times, achieving her highest placement (25th) in 2003; four times at the European Championships, with a highest placement of 21st in 2004; and four times at the World Junior Championships, with a highest placement of 21st in 2002 and 2003. Falotico appeared at the 2005 Karl Schäfer Memorial, the final qualifying competition for the 2006 Winter Olympics, but her result, 8th, was insufficient to earn a spot at the Olympics. ''Cavalleria rusticana'' (; Italian for "rustic chivalry") is an opera in one act by Pietro Mascagni to an Italian libretto by Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti and Guido Menasci, adapted from an 1880 short story of the same name and subsequent play by Giovanni Verga. Richard Robbins (composer)
Richard Stephen Robbins (December 4, 1940 – November 7, 2012) was an American-born composer, best known for his motion picture scores for the Merchant Ivory films. Robbins was born in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. In November 2012, he died of Parkinson's disease at the age of 71. He died at his home in New York. Personal life Robbins began playing the piano at the age of five. He graduated from the New England Conservatory in Boston, and later received a fellowship through a fund established by the philanthropist Frank Huntington Beebe to continue his studies in Vienna. Robbins was gay and lived his later years with his long-term partner, artist Michael Schell. Mariano Mores
Mariano Alberto Martínez (18 February 1918 13 April 2016), known professionally as Mariano Mores, was an Argentine tango composer and pianist. Biography Mariano Martínez was born in the San Telmo section of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1918. When he was a child, he played classical music on the piano very well. He made his professional debut at the age of 14 at Café Vicente on Corrientes Avenue. Mores took classical music lessons at the D´Andrea conservatoire in Lanús. After a brief spell with the folk group "La Cuyanita," he was hired as conductor and pianist with Roberto Firpo's orchestra. Yann Tiersen (born 23 June 1970) is a French Breton musician and composer. His musical career is split between studio recordings, music collaborations and film soundtracks songwriting. His music incorporates a large variety of classical and contemporary instruments, primarily the electric guitar, the piano, synthesisers and the violin, but also instruments such as the melodica, xylophone, toy piano, harpsichord, piano accordion or even typewriter. ''Amélie'' is the soundtrack to the 2001 French film ''Amélie''. Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet was introduced to the accordion- and piano-driven music of Yann Tiersen by his production assistant. Greatly impressed, he immediately bought Tiersen's entire catalogue and eventually commissioned him to compose pieces for the film. The soundtrack features both compositions from Tiersen's first three albums, as well as new items, variants of which can be found on his fourth album, '' L'Absente'', which he was writing at the same time.
