Sara Daavettila (born December 17, 1997) is an American professional tennis player. She has a career-high Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles ranking of and doubles ranking of , both achieved in October 2023. Born in Michigan to a former college player, she had a successful junior career. She went undefeated in two seasons of high school tennis. She played five years of college tennis for the North Carolina Tar Heels, reaching a peak NCAA singles ranking of . She reached at least the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships three times. Since turning professional she has played on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, where she has won one singles title and one doubles title. Williamston is a city in Ingham County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,854 at the 2010 census. Williamston is located east of the city of Lansing and borders Williamstown Township to the north and Wheatfield Township to the south. The Red Cedar River and M-43 run through the center of the city. History The location that was later to become Williamston started as the cross-road of the Grand River and Saginaw Indian Trails. It was first occupied by a small band of the Saginaw tribe of the Chippewa People which by the mid-19th century used the area as a 'summer village' (it was not used by them year-round, but they 'wintered' in the area that is now Meridian Township). They used Williamston for planting crops, burying their dead, and holding an annual spring gathering, primarily using the land just north of the Red Cedar River. The Miami Hurricanes (known informally as The U, UM, or The 'Canes) are the intercollegiate sports teams that represent the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Maria Estela Perez-Somarriba is a Spanish former tennis player. She reached two finals on the ITF Women's Circuit and played college tennis at the University of Miami. Early years Perez-Somarriba was born to Felipe Perez-Somarriba and Maria Jose Yravedra on July 25, 1998 and grew up in Madrid, Spain. She attended high school at Instituto Mirasierra in Madrid. College Perez-Somarriba could easily have turned pro after high school, but she chose to continue her tennis career at a college, and one across the Atlantic in Florida, at the University of Miami. Although the decision was not an easy one, it has paid off. WCHL is a radio station based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina broadcasting on 1360 AM, with a translator on 97.9 FM. It is an affiliate of CBS News Radio. Much of its programming is geared towards the Chapel Hill/Carrboro community, with a focus on local news and community-affairs programming. History Chapel Hill's oldest continuous broadcaster signed on January 25, 1953 under the ownership of Sandy McClamroch, who went on to become the town's longest-serving mayor.
