Saqr Ajail
Saqr Ajail Al-Janabi ( ar, صگر عجيل الجنابي; born July 10, 1993, in Wasit, Iraq) is an Iraqi footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Al-Hedood in the Iraqi Premier League. International career In 2009, Saqr started playing for the Iraq U16, and then played for the 2012 AFC U-19 Championship with Iraq U19 and won the runner-up title in this championship. He was called by coach Hakeem Shaker to play in the 2013 AFC U-22 Championship in Oman and he won the championship title with the team. On September 15, 2015, Saqr was called by coach Yahya Alwan to play in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification. Wasit Governorate
Wasit Governorate ( ar, واسط, translit=Wāsit) is a governorate in eastern Iraq, south-east of Baghdad and bordering Iran. Prior to 1976 it was known as Kut Province. Major cities include the capital Al-Kut, Al-Hai and Al-Suwaira. The governorate contains the Mesopotamian Marshes of Shuwayja, Al-Attariyah, and Hor Aldelmj. Its name comes from the Arabic word meaning "middle," as the former city of Wasit lay along the Tigris about midway between Baghdad and Basra. Wasit city was abandoned after the Tigris shifted course. History The ancient Sumerian city-state of Der is located near the town of Badra. Al-Minaa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الميناء الرياضي, lit=Port Sports Club) is an Iraqi multi-sport club based in Al Maqal, Al-Maqal, Basra that participates in the Iraq Division One, the second tier of Football in Iraq, Iraqi football. It is one of the most popular clubs in Iraq, particularly in the south, and became the first club outside Baghdad to win the Iraqi Premier League. Al-Minaa was founded on November 22, 1931, in Al-Maqal. In 1974–75 Iraqi National League, 1974, the club was merged with another team called Al-Etisalat SC, Al-Bareed to form a single club called Al-Muwasalat SC, Al-Muwasalat, and it was a strange situation because the Al-Bareed team were based in Baghdad while Al-Minaa were based in Basra and the two teams met in Baghdad on the day of the match only, so after just one season the club was dissolved and Al-Minaa returned in their place. The AFC U-23 Asian Cup, previously the AFC U-22 Championship (in 2013) and AFC U-23 Championship (between 2016 and 2020), is a biennial international football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. Each even-yeared edition of the tournament is linked to the qualification process for the Olympic Games, such as in 2016 and 2020, from which the top 3 teams qualified.
