Saoek Sitchefboontham ( th, เสาเอก ศิษย์เชฟบุญธรรม) is a Thai Muay Thai fighter. Muay thai career On November 1, 2019, Saoek fought Eisaku Ogasawara at KNOCK OUT 2019 BREAKING DAWN in his first fight outside of Thailand. He won the bout by a second round head kick. On February 13, 2020, Saoek won his first major muay thai title, as he captured the Rajadamnern Stadium super bantamweight title with a decision win against Thepthaksin Sor.Sornsing. On October 28, 2021, it was announced that Saoek and his brother Saotho had their contracts bought out by Petchyindee. On March 30, 2023, Saoek was announced among the three fighters shortlisted for the 2022 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year award. Lumpinee Boxing Stadium ( th, สนามเวทีมวยลุมพินี) is a sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The stadium is named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. Opened more than a decade later than Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee is run by the Royal Thai Army. It has become the symbol of modern Muay Thai. Only Rajadamnern Stadium rivals the prestige of holding the title of "Muay Thai Champion of Lumpinee". The ranking system and championship titles are held from mini flyweight (105 lb) up to super welterweight (154 lb). Muay Thai bouts are held on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Biography and career Rungnarai started Muay Thai at 8 years old in a small camp called Lukhokphet near his village. At 14 he went to live at the Kiatmoo9 gym. In July 2019 Rungnarai received the 2018 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year Award but lost by Knockout shortly after to Yothin FA Group which led the Association to strip him of his title and decide that no fighters were worthy of it that year, this decision was highly controversial in the Muay Thai community.
