Sanyasi (1975 Film)
''Sanyasi'' () is a 1975 Hindi film directed by Sohanlal Kanwar, starring Manoj Kumar and Hema Malini as leads. The film is noted for its music by Shankar Jaikishan. The film was the third highest grossing film of the year. Plot Renukadevi (Sulochana) is widowed and the mother of a son named Ram (Manoj Kumar). Her husband had indulged in all possible vices, and died. Her father-in-law, Rai (Brahma Bharadwaj), does not want Ram to repeat his father's mistakes, and teaches him all the positive values of the Hindu religion, in particular the contents of the Bhagavad Gita. As a result, Ram refrains from all known vices, is an expert in yogic exercises, decides to live the life of a celibate, and refuses to marry anyone. When Rai dies, Renuka asks Ram to fulfill his grandfather's last wishes, one of which was to get married. She even arranges his introduction to Aarti (Hema Malini), an attractive young woman. Manoj Kumar
Harikrishan Goswami (born 24 July 1937), better known by his screen name Manoj Kumar, is an Indian actor, filmmaker, screenwriter, lyricist and editor who worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for acting and making films with patriotic themes, and has been given the nickname Bharat Kumar. Chandrashekhar (film Actor)
Chandrashekhar Vaidya (7 July 1922 – 16 June 2021), known simply as Chandrashekhar, was an Indian actor and filmmaker working in the Bollywood film industry. He was best known for playing supporting characters in films starring Rajesh Khanna in lead roles and later for playing Arya Sumant in the epic television series Ramayan. He died of age-related illness on 16 June 2021, at the age of 98, though some news sources incorrectly listed his age as 97. Early life Chandrashekhar was born in Hyderabad on 7 July 1922. Shankar–Jaikishan
Shankar–Jaikishan (also known as S-J), were an Indian composer duo of the Hindi film industry, working together from 1949 to 1971. They are widely considered to be one of the greatest ever music composers of the Hindi film industry. After Jaikishan’s death in 1971, Shankar continued as a music director alone until his own death in 1987. During this solo career, he was still credited as 'Shankar–Jaikishan'. Shankar–Jaikishan, along with other artists, composed "everlasting" and "immortal melodies" in the 1950s, 1960s, and early 1970s.
