Sant’Eufemia Buffalora (Brescia Metro)
Sant’Eufemia Buffalora is a station of the Brescia Metro, in the city of Brescia in northern Italy. Originally named "Sant'Eufemia", the addition of "Buffalora" more closely reflects the location of the station. As the easterly terminus of the metro line, the station serves not only the nearby towns of Sant'Eufemia della Fonte and Buffalora Brescia (, locally ; lmo, link=no, label= Lombard, Brèsa ; lat, Brixia; vec, Bressa) is a city and ''comune'' in the region of Lombardy, Northern Italy. It is situated at the foot of the Alps, a few kilometers from the lakes Garda and Iseo. ..., but also Rezzato and more distant traffic coming from Montichiari and Gavardo and communities near Lake Garda. The Brescia Metro ( it, Metropolitana di Brescia) is a rapid transit network serving Brescia, Lombardy, Italy. The network comprises a single line, having a length of and a total of 17 stations from ''Prealpino'' to ''Sant´Eufemia-Buffalora'', located respectively at the north and southeast of Brescia. During the 1980s, road congestion in the vicinity of Brescia rose dramatically, resulting in the City Council becoming interested in the adoption of a new mass transit platform to provide an alternative means of access around the city. Rezzato (Brescian: ) is a ''comune'' in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. It is bounded by the comunes of Brescia, Botticino, Castenedolo, Mazzano and Nuvolera. Thanks to its nearness to the small town of Botticino, Rezzato is commonly considered the town of the marble working.
