Santi Clemente E Imerio, Cremona
Santi Clemente e Imerio (or sometimes called Sant'Imerio alone) is a 17th-century Roman Catholic church on Via Aporti 16, in Cremona, region of Lombardy, Italy. The church was commissioned in 1606 by the Marchese Cesare de Soresina Vidoni, in part to house his brother Pietro, who had become a monk in the Order of Discalced Carmelites, and established a convent alongside this church. The exterior was left unfinished in part to demonstrate the vows of poverty of the order. In 1805, the order was suppressed and the remaining monks were relocated to Lodi and Crema. This church was joined to the parish church of San Clemente, thus adding the name. The church has three chapels on each side. The semi-Corinthian columns are odd, since they end in laurel, and not acanthus, leaves. Luigi Miradori (c. 1600-1610 - c. 1656) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active mainly in Cremona. Miradori was born in Genoa, thus also called ''il Genovese'' or ''Genovesino''. He was a pupil of the painter Panfilo Nuvolone or il Tanzio or Pietro Martire Neri. Margherita Caffi
Margherita Caffi (1650 – 20 September 1710) was an Italian painter of still lifes of flowers and fruit. She was born Margherita Volo, in Milan to Francesco Volo (a still-life painter himself) and his wife, Veronica. In 1668, she married Ludivico Caffi (also a still-life painter) in Cremona. Robert de Longe (Brussels, 1646 – Piacenza, 1709) was a painter born in present-day Belgium, but active in Northern Italy including Cremona and Piacenza. Biography He is one of many painters known in Italy as ''il Fiammingo'' (the Flemish). De Longe had traveled throughout Italy. In 1680, in Rome he joined painter in the Papal court, and there met Agostino Bonisoli, who brought him to work for many years in Cremona. Angelo Massarotti
Angelo Massarotti (1653–1723) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active in his native Cremona. Biography Massarotti trained initially with Agostino Bonisoli, then in Rome with Carlo Cesi. The historian Titi (page 379) said he painted a fresco depicting ''Christ with Santa Lugarda'' and other for the church of San Salvatore in Lauro. This gained him admission to Accademia San Luca of Rome in 1680, when he returns to Cremona.
