Santhy Balachandran is an Indian film and theatre actress who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. She made her feature film debut as the heroine in the 2017 Malayalam comedy thriller film Tharangam (2017 film), ''Tharangam'', opposite to Tovino Thomas. Career Theatre Santhy played the lead role in Harold Pinter's play ''The Lover'' directed by Sanal Aman. After the play was staged in Kochi she was approached by director Arun Dominic with an offer of a role in his film Tharangam (2017 film), ''Tharangam''. She has also acted in plays including ''A Very Normal Family'' directed by Roshan Mathew were she played Sweety. She was approached to play the role after her performance in ''The Lover''. Kottayam () is a municipal town in the Indian state of Kerala. Flanked by the Western Ghats on the east and the Vembanad Lake and paddy fields of Kuttanad on the west. The International Film Festival of Kerala (abbreviated as IFFK) is a film festival held annually in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India.
