''Santeria'' is a collaborative studio album by Italian rappers Marracash and Guè Pequeno, released on June 24, 2016, by Universal Music Group. As longtime friends, before the album, they recorded some underground mixtapes and works, and after that they had collaborated on their respective albums on some songs. Background On January 4, 2016, through social networks, the two rappers have revealed their intention to make an album together; in the past, Marracash and Guè Pequeno have worked together on various songs, including ''Fattore wow'' (in the album ''Marracash'' 2008), ''Big!'' and ''Brivido'' (present respectively in the albums ''Il ragazzo d'oro'' and ''Bravo ragazzo'' by Pequeno). Fabio Bartolo Rizzo, better known by his stage name Marracash (), is an Italian rapper. Starting his career in the rap group Dogo Gang, he debuted as a solo artist rising in fame in the 2010s releasing six studio albums that reached the top ten of the Italian Albums Chart, including two top positions with ''Santeria'' (2016) and ''Persona'' (2019). Trancoso, Bahia
Trancoso is a district in the municipality of Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Once a small fishing village, the town is now known for its beaches and has increased in popularity since gaining international attention around 2000 while retaining an eco-friendly appeal. The song Composed and recorded in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, this is the first song created for the album. Originally titled "Illegali", the two rappers decided to change the title of the song paying tribute to the figure of the Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, as they have found a similarity in the lifestyle of the painter with the rapper stereotype. Guè Pequeno
Cosimo Fini (born 25 December 1980), better known by the stage name Guè () previously as Guè Pequeno, is an Italian rapper and record producer. He was also earlier a member of various formations, notably the hip hop duo Club Dogo with rapper Jake La Furia and producer Don Joe. Between 1999 and 2001, he was also in "Sacre Scuole", a group made up by Gué Pequeno, Dargen D'Amico and Jake La Furia.
