The population in 2021 was 58 671,excluding the parish Pombalinho, that changed from the municipality of Santarém to Golegã in 2013 in an area of 552.54 km2. 	Santarém Cheese Santarém is a goat cheese from Portugal produced in several different regions, most notably in the Santarém (district), Santarém district and in Serra de Santo António in the Ribatejo province of Portugal.
