The Church of the Abbey of Misericordia (Italian: ''Santa Maria dell'Abbazia della Misericordia'' or ''Santa Maria di Valverde'') is a religious edifice in Venice, Italy, in the ''sestiere'' Cannaregio Cannaregio () is the northernmost of the six historic '' sestieri'' (districts) of Venice. The Santa Maria Maddalena is a Roman Catholic church in Rome, named after Saint Mary Magdalene. It is located on the Via della Maddalena, one of the streets leading from the Piazza della Rotonda in the Campo Marzio area of historic Rome. It is the national churches in Rome, regional church for the people of Abruzzo. History The church was built on a 14th-century chapel, Santa Maria Maddalena, the regional church for expatriates from the Abruzzo region. In the early 17th century the congregation rebuilt and expanded the structure, which was completed in 1699 in the Baroque style. Santa Maria in Via Lata is a church on the Via del Corso (the ancient Via Lata), in Rome, Italy. It stands diagonal from the church of San Marcello al Corso. It is the Station days for Tuesday, the fifth week of lent. History The first Christian place of worship here was a 5th-century oratory (chapel with welfare centre) in the Roman building beneath the present church. This was constructed within the remains of a large Roman warehouse, some long, which has also been excavated. Murals were added to the lower level between the 7th and 9th centuries (these have been detached for conservation reasons). Due to the frequent flooding of the Tiber, in 1049 the church was rebuilt with an upper level added. The Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere ( it, Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere); en, Our Lady in Trastevere) is a titular minor basilica in the Trastevere district of Rome, and one of the oldest churches of Rome. The basic floor plan and wall structure of the church date back to the 340s, and much of the structure to 1140–43. The first sanctuary was built in 221 and 227 by Pope Callixtus I and later completed by Pope Julius I. The church has large areas of important mosaics from the late 13th century by Pietro Cavallini. Santa Maria Di Loreto, Rome
Santa Maria di Loreto is a 16th-century church in Rome, central Italy, located just across the street from the Trajan's Column, near the giant Monument of Vittorio Emanuele II. History After the Jubilee of 1500, the association of bakers (Sodalizio dei Fornai) received permission from Pope Alexander VI to build a church at this site. Construction of this church began in 1507 under Donato Bramante, carried out by Andrea Sansuini and completed by Antonio da Sangallo the younger. The design called for a square first story and an octagonal second story built in travertine and brick. It was one of the earliest domed square churches built on classical forms. Sangallo's facade is a maturer, more ornate version of the facade of the Palazzo Baldassini. A second dome and lantern were added by Jacopo del Duca around 1575.
