Sanna, Nordland
Sanna (sometimes ''Sanda'') is an island and village area in the municipality of Træna in Nordland county, Norway. The island is the largest island in Træna municipality. The island is located less than west of the main island of Husøya. The island has five characteristic mountaintops, the highest is the tall Trænstaven. The Traena Music Festival is held on this island each year. The island has 3 residents (in 2018). Nordland
Nordland (; smj, Nordlánnda, sma, Nordlaante, sme, Nordlánda, en, Northland) is a county in Norway in the Northern Norway region, the least populous of all 11 counties, bordering Troms og Finnmark in the north, Trøndelag in the south, Norrbotten County in Sweden to the east, Västerbotten County to the south-east, and the Atlantic Ocean (Norwegian Sea) to the west. The county was formerly known as ''Nordlandene amt''. The county administration is in the town of Bodø. The remote Arctic island of Jan Mayen has been administered from Nordland since 1995. Husøya
Husøya is a small island and the administrative centre of Træna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just east of the island of Sanna in the Trænfjorden, about northwest of the island of Lovund (in neighboring Lurøy Municipality) and about south of Selvær. The Træna Lighthouse lies south of the island. The island is only accessible by boat, and there is regular ferry service from Husøya to the island of Selvær and to Stokkvågen on the mainland. Traena Music Festival
The Traena Music Festival ( no, Trænafestivalen) is held annually in the municipality of Træna in Nordland county, Norway. The festival is held on the islands of Husøya and Sanna. The islands are only accessible by ferry boat from the mainland in Lurøy. Venues have included an ancient cave, a church with blacked-out windows (to block out the Midnight sun which shines for 23 hours a day), and tents. The festival attracts many people from neighbouring communities who visit the camp to enjoy the music and unique nature of the festival. History Nine thousand years ago, some pioneers migrated to these islands out in the Norwegian Sea. There was not much land that could be farmed nor many trees that could be felled, but the richness of the surrounding ocean made it possible for people to settle.
