''Sankarankovil'' is a 2011 Indian Tamil language film directed by P. N. Palanivelraja. The film is produced and co-written by Kanal Kannan, who stars in the lead role, alongside Rupika Ramnath. Kanal Kannan (born as V. Kannan) is an Indian actor, action choreographer and screenwriter who works in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films. He has worked with actors Mammootty, Prithviraj , Unni Mukundan, Ajith Kumar, Vijay, Arjun Sarja and R. Sarath Kumar in many films. Stunt coordinators including Stun Siva, Peter Hein, Anal Arasu, K. ''Satrumun Kidaitha Thagaval'' () is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Bhuvanai Kannan. The film stars Kanal Kannan, fame Bharathi, Khushbu, Livingston, and K. S. Ravikumar. The film was released on 30 January 2009. Plot A sequence of murder takes place in the city and a cop steps in to investigate them. Meanwhile, Shiva leaves a mental asylum. It is concluded that a lunatic is behind all these murders. Siva ( Kanal Kannan) manages to enter the house of a film director (Livingston). His wife is all alone. She suspects him to be the mentally-challenged man on murder trail. Meanwhile, the police zeroes in on a psychiatrist doctor (Khushbu) to be responsible for the murder. Sankarankovil is a city in Tenkasi district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was formerly called Sankaranayinarkoil. Sankarankovil is the home to the Sankara Narayanar Temple . History Sankarankovil is home to the Sankara Narayanar Temple, which was built by Ugra Pandiyan in and houses the deity by the name Sankara Narayanan, which is half Shiva and the other half Vishnu. According to folklore, the devotees of Hari (Vishnu) and Shiva once quarreled with each other to determine which god was more powerful, until Shiva appeared as Sankaranarayanar to show his devotees that Hari and Shiva were one and the same.
