Sani Ndanusa
Sani Ndanusa (born 5 May 1957) is a Nigerian civil servant who was appointed Minister of Youths, Sports and Social Development in December 2008. He left office in March 2010 when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan dissolved his cabinet. Sani Ndanusa obtained an MSc in Waste and Water Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. He was General Manager of the Niger State Water Board (1999-2001), and then became a permanent secretary of the board. In December 2003, he announced that the Water Board would give priority to drinking water supply, disconnecting concrete blocking and car wash crates and flower garage operators. The businesses would have to find other sources of supply. He was appointed Niger State's Commissioner for Transportation and Infrastructural Development. Abdulrahman Gimba
Abdulrahman Hassan Gimba (born 16 June 1945) became Nigeria's Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission on 27 July 2007. He was dismissed on 29 October 2008, one casualty of a major cabinet reshuffle. Background Abdulrahman Gimba was born on 16 June 1945 in Niger State. Niger State
Niger is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria and the largest state in the country. Niger state has three political zones, zone A,B and C. The state's capital is at Minna. Umaru Yar'Adua
Umaru Musa Yar'Adua (16 August 19515 May 2010) was a Nigerian politician who, was the President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. He was declared the winner of the Nigerian presidential election held on 21 April 2007, and was sworn in on 29 May 2007. He served previously as the governor of Katsina state from 1999 to 2007; and was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2009, Yar'Adua left for Saudi Arabia to receive treatment for pericarditis. He returned to Nigeria on 24 February 2010, but died on 5 May. The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is the National Olympic Committee for Nigeria, responsible for co-ordinating and supporting Nigerian competitors in the Olympic Games. It is also the body responsible for Nigeria's representation at the Commonwealth Games.
