Sandra Kay "Sandy" Hess-Gerathy (born 1949) is an American Olympian figure skating coach. From 1988 to 1996 she was the Ice Dance Director of the Broadmoor Skating Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a leading center for figure skating. Elizabeth Punsalan
Elizabeth Punsalan or Swallow (born January 9, 1971) is an American former competitive ice dancer. With her husband Jerod Swallow, she is a five-time U.S. national champion, two-time Skate America champion, and competed twice in the Winter Olympics. Personal life Elizabeth Punsalan was born in Syracuse, New York. Her father, Ernesto, moved from the Philippines to the United States as a medical student and became a surgeon. She married Jerod Swallow in September 1993. Her younger brother, Ricky, was charged in the death of their father, who was fatally stabbed on February 4, 1994, but he was found mentally unfit to stand trial. Monument, Colorado
The Town of Monument is a Home rule town situated at the base of the Rampart Range in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. Monument is one of the three communities that make up the Tri-Lakes area (along with Palmer Lake and Woodmoor). The town is part of the Colorado Springs Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had an estimated population of 700,000 in 2019. Monument is bordered by Pike National Forest on the west, Colorado Springs and the United States Air Force Academy to the south, Bald Mountain, True Mountain, and Spruce Mountain to the north, and Black Forest and rolling plains to the east. Susan Wynne
Susan Elizabeth "Susie" Wynne (born March 6, 1965 in Syracuse, New York) is an American former ice dancing, ice dancer and current figure skating analyst and commentator. She competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics with Joseph Druar. The duo won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice. She later competed with Russ Witherby. Since retiring from skating, she has worked as a television figure skating analyst for the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox and American Broadcasting Company, ABC networks. Garrett Swasey
Garrett Preston Russell Swasey (November 16, 1971 – November 27, 2015) was an American competitive ice skater, figure skating coach, and police officer. As an ice dancer, he won the 1992 U.S. junior ice dance title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and went on to participate twice more at the senior level. He coached along with Doreen Denny. Swasey was shot and killed in the line of duty during the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooting in 2015. Skating career Swasey began skating competitively as a youngster in the Boston area under coach Keith Lichtman. One of his closest childhood friends and training mates was Nancy Kerrigan, who later became a two-time Olympic medalist in ladies singles. With his wife Elizabeth Punsalan, he is a five-time United States Figure Skating Championships, U.S. national champion, two-time Skate America champion, and competed twice in the Winter Olympics. Personal life Jerod Swallow was born October 18, 1966 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He married Elizabeth Punsalan in September 1993. Georgi "Gorsha" Sur (born January 1, 1967) is a former ice dancer who represented the United States and the Soviet Union. With Svetlana Liapina for the Soviet Union, he is a two-time World Junior medalist. With Renée Roca for the U.S., he is a two-time U.S. national champion ( 1993, 1995). Life and career Partnership with Liapina Early in his career, Sur competed in partnership with Svetlana Liapina. The two won bronze at the 1984 World Junior Championships in Sapporo, Japan. The following season, they were awarded silver behind Elena Krykanova / Evgeni Platov at the 1985 World Junior Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
