Gerard Edward Sandusky (born September 5, 1961) is an American sports broadcaster. He works as the sports director at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, and does radio play-by-play for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Early life Sandusky is the son of John Sandusky, who played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers, and who later was an assistant coach for several NFL teams, and head coach for the Baltimore Colts. He is a 1983 graduate of Towson University, where he played football and basketball. Career Sandusky began his career as a sportscaster for WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida. He joined WBAL-TV in 1988. In addition to his duties with the Ravens, Sandusky broadcasts Towson University basketball games. Previously, he hosted the pre-game show for Baltimore Orioles broadcasts. Gerald Arthur Sandusky (born January 26, 1944) is an American retired college football coach and convicted serial child molester. Sandusky served as an assistant coach for his entire career, mostly at Pennsylvania State University under Joe Paterno, from 1969 to 1999, the last 22 years as defensive coordinator. He received "Assistant Coach of the Year" awards in 1986 and 1999. Sandusky authored several books related to his football coaching experiences. In 1977, Sandusky founded The Second Mile, a non-profit charity serving Pennsylvania's underprivileged and at-risk youth. After Sandusky's 1999 retirement as assistant coach at Penn State, he continued working with The Second Mile at Penn State, maintaining an office at the university until 2011. Jim Sandusky (born September 9, 1961) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the BC Lions and Edmonton Eskimos. In a 12-year career from 1984 to 1996, he caught 586 passes for 9,737 yards and 69 touchdowns. Sandusky played college football at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and San Diego State University. As a senior with the San Diego State Aztecs in 1983, he was named a third-team All-American by the Gannett News Service and Football News. John Sandusky
John Thomas "Sandy" Sandusky, Jr. (December 28, 1925 – March 5, 2006) was an American football player and coach. He played seven seasons as an offensive and defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1950s for the Cleveland Browns and the Green Bay Packers before starting a 36-year career as an assistant coach. He was head coach of the Baltimore Colts for part of the 1972 season. Sandusky grew up in Philadelphia and attended the nearby Villanova University. He played tackle on Villanova's football team and was named a first-team All-American in 1949, his senior year. The Browns selected him in the second round of the 1950 NFL Draft. Sandusky played six seasons for the Browns, who won NFL championships in 1950, 1954 and 1955 behind an offense that featured quarterback Otto Graham and end Dante Lavelli. He was the director of pro personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2008 to 2009, and the director of player personnel for the Cleveland Browns from 2010 to 2014.
