The Sands-Willets Homestead is a historic house and museum located within the Incorporated Village of Flower Hill in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. It is operated as a historic house museum by the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society, is designated as a Village of Flower Hill Landmark and a New York State Landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Description Main House The Sands-Willets Homestead is a 20-room, shingled 2-story building with an enlarged porch and porte cochere. The west wing dates to about 1735. It was originally a four-bay, -story house with end chimneys over a full-sized basement. New York State Route 101 (NY 101) is a long state highway in northwestern Nassau County, New York, in the United States. It runs north–south as Port Washington Boulevard from NY 25A in Flower Hill, west of Roslyn and east of Manhasset, to Astor Lane in Sands Point. It becomes County Route 101 south along Searingtown Road to Shelter Rock Road ( County Route 8 or CR 8) and becomes Middle Neck Road (CR D55) north of Astor Lane, continuing north and west to a dead end at Long Island Sound as the unsigned County Route D55. Thomas Dodge Homestead is a historic home in Port Washington, Nassau County, New York. It is a settlement-era farmhouse dated to 1721 with additions completed in approximately 1750 and 1903.
