Sandrine Niyonkuru
Sandrine Niyonkuru (born 1 January 2000) is a Burundian footballer who plays as a forward for Egyptian club Tutankhamun and the Burundi women's national team. Club career Niyonkuru has previously played for Tanzanian club Fountaingate Schools. As of 2023, she played for Tutankhamun in the Egyptian Women's Premier League. With Tutankhamun, Niyonkuru scored both goals in the team's 2–1 victory in the 2022/23 Egyptian Ladies FA Cup, the team's first-ever victory in the tournament. International career Niyonkuru has capped at a senior level for Burundi. She played with Burundi at the 2019 CECAFA Women's Championship and scored in the opening match, a 5–0 win over Zanzibar. Burundi qualified for the knockout rounds where they lost 5–0 to Kenya. The Burundi women's national football team, nicknamed the Swallows (French: ''Hirondelles''), represents Burundi in women's international football competitions. The team has competed since 2016 in matches recognised by FIFA, the sport's international governing body. The Egyptian Women's Premier League ( ar, الدوري المصري الممتاز للسيدات) is the top flight of women's association football in Egypt. The competition is run by the Egyptian Football Association. History The championship was created in 1998. Maaden LFC won the first championship as well as the next three. The competition was stopped from 2003 to 2007. The championship was dominated after by Wadi Degla with ten consecutive titles from 2008 to 2018. The 2019 CECAFA Women's Championship was the fourth edition of the association football tournament for women's national teams in the East African region. It was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania between 16 and 25 November 2019. Kenya won the tournament with a 2–0 win over Tanzania in the final. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. Fans held a collection for Stephenson, and presented him with a hat bought with the proceeds. The term was used in print for the first time in 1865 in the ''Chelmsford Chronicle''.
