Sandrine Cantoreggi
Sandrine Marie Adèle Cantoreggi (born 1969) is a Luxembourg violinist who has gained an international reputation, performing both at home and abroad as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals. She also teaches the violin at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg. Cantoreggi acquired Luxembourg nationality in February 2005. Biography Born on 29 May 1969 in Bègles, near Bordeaux, France, Sandrine Cantoreggi was educated at the Luxembourg Conservatoire. After studying with French violinist Pierre Amoyal in Paris and with Roman Nodel in Germany, she became the last person to study under the Belgian violinist, Carlo Van Neste. Luxembourgers ( ; lb, Lëtzebuerger ) are a Germanic ethnic group and nation native to their nation state of Luxembourg, where they make up around half of the population. They share the culture of Luxembourg and speak Luxembourgish. Pierre Cao (born 22 December 1937 in Dudelange) is a Luxembourgian composer and conductor. He studied composition and conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Classical music Cao is the regular conductor of Arsys Bourgogne with whom he has recorded Biber's Requiem and other baroque works. He taught at the Luxembourg Conservatoire until 1998 and has led various vocal ensembles in Luxembourg and the surrounding region. Vladimir Teodorovich Spivakov (Russian: Влади́мир Теодо́рович Спивако́в; born 12 September 1944) is a Soviet and Russian conductor and violinist best known for his work with the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra. Spivakov was born in Ufa. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory. Spivakov is also considered one of the foremost violinists of his generation, having studied with Yuri Yankelevich at the Moscow Conservatory. Spivakov currently serves as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Philharmonic of Russia. The Salle Gaveau, named after the French piano maker Gaveau, is a classical concert hall in Paris, located at 45-47 rue La Boétie, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It is particularly intended for chamber music. Construction The plans for the hall were drawn up by Jacques Hermant in 1905, the year the land was acquired. The construction of the Gaveau building took place from 1906 to 1907. The vocation of this hall was chamber music from the beginning, and its seating capacity was a thousand, just as it is today. The hall was home to a large organ built in 1900 by the Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, Cavaillé-Coll, Mutin-Cavaillé-Coll firm.
