Sandra Van Nieuwland
Sandra van Nieuwland (born 16 February 1977 in Delft), also known as ''Sandra Newland'', is a Dutch singer who gained national popularity after her participation in the third season of ''The Voice of Holland''. Career Van Nieuwland rose to fame when she participated in the third season of The Voice of Holland in 2012. During the competition, she received a Gold award for her cover of "More", which she sang during her audition. In the first live show, van Nieuwland received a platina award for "More" and became the first contestant to receive an award while the competition was still running. "More" also reached first place in the Singles Top 100, as well as her cover of " Keep Your Head Up". The following liveshow, she broke her own record with "Beggin'", which reached first place again. The Voice Of Holland
''The Voice of Holland'', also known as ''TVOH'', is a Dutch reality TV singing competition, that became a near global TV format franchise, created by media tycoon John de Mol and musician Roel van Velzen, in the Netherlands airing on RTL 4. For the first nine seasons, The Voice of Holland was hosted by Martijn Krabbé and Wendy van Dijk. Starting from the tenth season (2019–2020), Wendy van Dijk was replaced by Chantal Janzen. The central focus of the show is the singing talent and quality of the contestants. Leona Philippo (born 6 May 1979 in Toronto) is a Canadian-born Dutch singer-songwriter of Jamaican origin. On 14 December 2012, she won the title for season 3 of the Dutch reality television music competition ''The Voice of Holland''. She is also often credited simply as Leona.
