Sandra Mann
Sandra Mann (born 27 October 1970 in Groß-Gerau) is a German artist and photographer. In her cross-genre work, she deals conceptually with the relationship between people, with nature, the environment, the animal world and gender issues. Her work is characterized by research into the fundamentals of photography and visual language. In 2021, she was awarded the Goethe Plaque of the City of Frankfurt, Goethe plaque from the city of Frankfurt am Main. Early life and education Sandra Mann studied art history at the Goethe University Frankfurt and studied visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main with Heiner Blum, Rudolf Bonvie, and Lewis Baltz. While still a student, Jean-Christophe Ammann acquired several of her works for the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt and exhibited them. Tracey Emin
Tracey Karima Emin, Order of the British Empire, CBE, Associate of the Royal Academy, RA (; born 3 July 1963) is a British artist known for her autobiographical and confessional artwork. Emin produces work in a variety of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, film, photography, Neon lighting, neon text and Appliqué, sewn appliqué. Once the "enfant terrible" of the Young British Artists in the 1980s, Tracey Emin is now a Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Academician. In 1997, her work ''Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963–1995'', a tent appliquéd with the names of everyone the artist had ever shared a bed with, was shown at Charles Saatchi's ''Sensation (exhibition), Sensation'' exhibition held at the Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Academy in London. "Dominique" is a 1963 in music, 1963 French language popular song, written and performed by the Belgian female singer Jeannine Deckers, better known as Sœur Sourire ("Sister Smile" in French) or The Singing Nun. Félix González-Torres
Félix González-Torres (November 26, 1957 – January 9, 1996) was a Cuban-born American visual artist. González-Torres's openly gay sexual orientation was influential in his work as an artist. González-Torres was known for his minimal installations and sculptures in which he used materials such as strings of lightbulbs, clocks, stacks of paper, or packaged hard candies. In 1987, he joined Group Material, a New York-based group of artists whose intention was to work collaboratively, adhering to principles of cultural activism and community education. González-Torres' work ''"Untitled" (L.A.)'' (1991), a 50 lb. installation of green hard candies, sold for $7.7 million at Christie's in 2015.
