Sandra Giménez
Sandra Daniela Giménez (born 2 September 1967) is an Argentine politician who served as a National Senator for Misioness from 10 December 2011 to 9 December 2017, as Vice Governor of Misiones from 2007 to 2011, under Maurice Closs. Born in Jardín América, Giménez studied medicine in Corrientes, graduating from the National University of the Northeast (UNNE) with specializations in surgery and pediatrics in 1991 and 1996, respectively. She had chosen to study medicine in memory of her brother, who had died at age 11. After graduating, she worked as a medical auditor for the Government of Misiones Province. The Honorable Senate of the Argentine Nation ( es, Honorable Senado de la Nación Argentina) is the upper house of the National Congress of Argentina. Overview The National Senate was established by the Argentine Confederation on July 29, 1854, pursuant to Articles 46 to 54 of the 1853 Constitution. There are 72 members: three for each province and three for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The number of senators per province was raised from two to three following the 1994 amendment of the Argentine Constitution as well as the addition of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires' senators. Those changes took effect following the May 14, 1995, general elections. Misiones (, ''Missions'') is one of the 23 provinces of Argentina, located in the northeastern corner of the country in the Mesopotamia region.
