Sanda, Lahore
Sanda ( ur, ، ساندہ) is a town in Lahore District near the bank of river Ravi River, Ravi and Islampura (formerly Krishan Nagar, Kirshan Nagar). It is divided into Sanda Kalan and Sanda Khurd. The local government complex is situated in Sanda near the former Firdous cinema. Rajgarh, National town, Sunat Nagar, Hashmi Street and Sham Nagar are all located in the vicinity of Sanda. In Sanda there exists a LDA scheme called Sanda homes. The main Sanda road starts from MAO College link lower Mall with Bund road. Punjab (; , ) is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. Ravi River
The Ravi River () is a transboundary river crossing northwestern India and eastern Pakistan. It is one of five rivers associated with the Punjab region. Under the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960, the waters of the Ravi and two other rivers were allocated to India. Subsequently, the Indus Basin Project was developed in Pakistan, which transfers waters from western rivers of the Indus system to replenish the portion of the Ravi River lying in that country. Krishan Nagar
Krishan Nagar is part of the Islampura neighbourhood of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. During British Raj, in 1930s came a change in the development of middle class localities in Lahore and areas like Krishan Nagar and Sant Nagar were established. They were planned, geometrical in layout and had parks, sewage and drinking water facilities. In the houses in these areas, roofs of the rooms were high like British bungalows. These housing areas were an improved version of the old architecture of Lahore. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, the Hindu residents migrated to India. The area became mainly a residential quarter, heavily populated with Muslims. In 1992, after repeated protests from Muslims groups, Krishan Nagar and Sant Nagar were merged and renamed Islampura or 'Islam Town' to accurately reflect its demographic composition.
